WHEREAS, It is of paramount importance to the citizens of the State of Washington that the legislature deal with the process of selecting Washington State as a potential site for a high level nuclear waste repository; and

         


WHEREAS, It is important that the legislature conduct the business of the 1986 First Special Session in an orderly and expeditious manner;

         


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate of the State of Washington, the House of Representatives concurring, That the subject matter to be considered during this 1986 First Special Session of the Forty-Ninth Legislature be limited to legislation to place a referendum before the people pertaining to the selection of Washington State as a potential high level nuclear waste repository site and concurrent resolutions relating to the operation of the legislature; and

         


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Legislature shall adjourn Sine Die August 1, 1986.
