Eliminating obsolete references to workmen's compensation.

BACKGROUND:

 

Reference is made in various places in Washington statutes to the state's industrial insurance system as the "workmen's compensation" system.  There has been no systematic removal of this obsolete reference from the code.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Throughout the Washington statutes, references to "workmen's compensation" are changed to "workers' compensation."  References to "workmen" are changed to "workers."
