BACKGROUND:

When the period of suspension of a liquor license ends, the Liquor Control Board must return the license to the licensee with a notice of the suspension marked in red ink on the license. 

SUMMARY:

The requirement that liquor license suspensions be marked on the license upon return of the license to the licensee is eliminated.

 A requirement is added that all conditions imposed by the Liquor Control Board in the issuance of a license be listed on the license, along with the trade name and address of the licensee and expiration date of the license.

House Committee - Testimony For: Noting the suspension on the license serves no purpose.  The Liquor Control Board already places any conditions on the license to help people in the field.  Business License Center staff requested that the policy be placed in statute.
