BACKGROUND:

 

In the 1987 session the Legislature passed enabling legislation for the Schools for the Twenty-First Century Pilot Program.  Rules governing the application procedure for this project were recently adopted at the December, 1987 meeting of the State Board of Education.  Currently RCW 28A.100.038 requires that all applications be received no later than March 31, 1988.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The date for receipt of applications for the Schools for the Twenty-First Century Pilot Program shall be moved from March 31, 1988, to May 31, 1988.

 

Fiscal Note:      Not Requested.

 

Effective Date:The bill contains an emergency clause and takes effect immediately.
