BACKGROUND:

 

Self-insured employers are required to maintain an administrative organization to manage their industrial insurance claims.  There is no requirement that the administrative organization be located within Washington state.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Administrative organizations that manage industrial insurance claims for self-insured employers must be maintained by the employer within Washington state.
