BACKGROUND:

 

Last year, the legislature approved of legislation requiring automobile insurers to offer a premium discount for persons 55 years of age or older who successfully completed a motor vehicle accident prevention course approved by the Department of Licensing.

 

SUMMARY:

 

A self-instruction motor vehicle accident prevention course approved by the Department of Licensing must be made available to persons in areas where a classroom course is not offered.
