BACKGROUND:

State liquor stores may not sell liquor on Sundays.  This restriction also applies to persons selling spirits as designated vendor/agents of the Liquor Control Board.

SUMMARY:

A state liquor store (including a designated vendor/agent) may sell liquor on Sunday if the Liquor Control Board determines that unique circumstances exist which necessitate Sunday liquor sales to meet the needs of tourists, vacationers, or travelers.

SUMMARY OF PROPOSED SENATE AMENDMENTS:

Such sales are limited to vendors selling products of their own manufacture and customers are limited to no more than one case.
