BACKGROUND:

 

Washington does not have a license which accurately reflects the activities of a liquor broker.

 

SUMMARY:

 

A liquor broker license is created.  The license authorizes a business to act as a liquor broker for a fee or commission in purchasing or selling liquor for or on behalf of another person.  A liquor broker is not authorized to buy or sell liquor on his/her account, take title to liquor, or receive or store liquor in his/her name within the state.
