BACKGROUND:
The Legislature passed enabling legislation for the Schools for the Twenty-First Century Pilot Program during the 1987 regular session. Rules governing the application process for this project were adopted at the December, 1987 meeting of the State Board of Education. RCW 28A.100.038 requires that all applications be received no later than March 31, 1988.
SUMMARY:
The date for receipt of applications for the Schools for the Twenty-First Century Pilot Program is extended from March 31, 1988 to not later than May 31, 1988.

Effective Date:The bill contains an emergency clause and takes effect immediately.
