BACKGROUND:

 

Manufactured homes are considered a less costly alternative to site-built homes.  However, many cities severely restrict or do not allow the placement of manufactured homes on individual lots.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Each comprehensive plan of a city or code city which does not allow for the siting of manufactured homes on individual lots shall be subject to a review of the need and demand for such homes.  The review shall be completed by December 31, 1990.
