BACKGROUND:

 

In order to reduce expenses of nonprofit human service facilities, real and personal property of nonprofit day care centers, free public libraries, orphanages, homes for the aged, homes for the sick or infirm, and hospitals for the sick are exempted from property taxation.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The real and personal property of nonprofit outpatient dialysis facilities are exempted from property taxation.  This exemption applies to owned and leased equipment.
