BACKGROUND:

 

As of January 1, 1968 all vehicle number plates have been treated with reflectorized materials designed to increase visibility and legibility at night.  Currently, the Department of Licensing under its authority to set specifications for the manufacturing of license plates requires that all license plates be fully reflectorized.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Vehicle license plates are required to be fully reflectorized.
