AS REPORTED BY COMMITTEE ON NATURAL RESOURCES, MARCH 4, 1987
BACKGROUND:
The Lake Washington drainage basin is unique because of its commercially and recreationally important salmon runs which exist within the state's most densely populated area.
There is concern that the salmon resources could be improved if limiting factors could be identified and enhancement measures were taken.
SUMMARY:
The Department of Fisheries is directed to investigate the limiting factors of salmon production and to develop an action plan to restore, improve and enhance the salmon resources of Lake Washington.
Fiscal Note: requested
