BACKGROUND:

 

Class H licensees catering special events off-premises where liquor is sold are required to obtain a class I license from the State Liquor Control Board.

 

Currently, upon receipt of a request for a class I license, the Liquor Control Board notifies local officials who have ten days to file written objections to the Board.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The requirement that the Liquor Control Board provide a ten day notification period to local officials prior to issuing a class I license is deleted.
