BACKGROUND:

 

For construction, repair, or alteration projects estimated to cost less than $25,000, the Departments of General Administration, Fisheries, and Game as well as the State Parks and Recreation Commission may, in lieu of advertisement and competitive bid, solicit quotations from a small works roster.  This small works roster limit has been in effect since 1982.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The maximum dollar amount of a project eligible for the state's small works roster is raised from $25,000 to $50,000.
