BACKGROUND:
Trapping within densely populated suburban areas has frequently caused household pets to become ensnared in life threatening traps. There is a concern that continued trapping within densely populated areas will result in household pets and possibly children being placed in danger of bodily harm.
SUMMARY:
Snare, leghold and coni-bear traps are prohibited below 500 feet elevation in King, Pierce and Thurston counties. Only live traps are permitted in these areas.
