BACKGROUND:

 

Unless otherwise specified by law, the Attorney General is required to act as attorney for any administrative body, department, agency, commission, or tribunal of the state.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Securities Division of the Department of Licensing may employ its own legal counsel; however, the Attorney General shall act as attorney for the Securities Division upon the request of the Director of the Department of Licensing.
