BACKGROUND:

 

Collection agencies licensed under Chapter 19.16 RCW are required to keep accounting records, collections and payments for a period of six years from the last entry on an account.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The time period for which licensed collection agencies must keep records of payments and collections is reduced from six to four years.
