BACKGROUND:

Some remote areas of the state lack adequate law enforcement coverage due to lack of funds at the county level.

SUMMARY:

The Department of Natural Resources may permit free use of non-trust lands by a law enforcement agency of local government.  The Department of Natural Resources will reduce charges to the agency for use of the lands by the dollar value of public safety services benefitting such trust land.
