BACKGROUND:

 

Current law allows for health and safety regulations of swimming pools at multifamily housing facilities but do not specify that instructions for cardiopulmonary resuscitation be posted. 

 

SUMMARY:

 

Owners of multifamily housing facilities that include a swimming pool are required to conspicuously post instructions for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

 

 

EFFECT OF PROPOSED SUBSTITUTE:

 

The Department of Social and Health Services is not required to adopt rules or civil monetary penalties for enforcement.
