BACKGROUND:

 

The Washington State Patrol Retirement System (WSPRS) provides for the addition of up to five years of military service after the completion of 25 years of service as a commissioned officer of the the State Patrol.

 

SUMMARY:

 

A commissioned officer of the State Patrol who has completed 20 years of service in WSPRS may retire, adding that military service in Southeast Asia which would total 25 years.
