BACKGROUND:

Currently, in statute liquor manufacturers or wholesalers may not provide entertainment benefits to licensed retailers.  This is commonly referred to as a prohibition under the tied house rule.

SUMMARY:

Manufacturers and wholesalers are permitted to provide lawful business entertainment to licensed retailers.
