BACKGROUND:

 

Under current law, if the Director of Licensing finds that a real estate broker or salesperson has violated any of the regulations relating to licensure of brokers or salesperson, the Director may revoke or suspend the license of the violator, impose a fine, or deny an application for or request for renewal of a license.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Director would be allowed to require the broker or salesperson who violates any of the regulations dealing with licensure to complete a course of study in the particular area of real estate law which was violated.  This would be a penalty available in addition to suspension, revocation or refusal of a license and monetary fines.
