AN ACT Relating to industrial insurance appeals; and adding a new section to chapter 51.36 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 51.36 RCW to read as follows:

          The director shall adopt rules allowing beneficiaries to defer payment of fees for medical care or services until the issuance of a final decision and order, or the denial of a petition for review, in any appeal to the board of industrial insurance appeals brought by the beneficiary.  Such rules shall include provisions for the suspension of providers taking action to collect in violation of the department's rules.
