AN ACT Relating to collective bargaining; and adding a new section to chapter 41.56 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.56 RCW to read as follows:

          After the termination date of a collective bargaining agreement, all of its terms and conditions shall remain in effect until the execution of a successor agreement.  This section shall not apply in any case in which employees are authorized to enter into collective bargaining relations with their employers with all the rights and privileges as are accorded to similar employees in private industry, as provided in RCW 54.04.170 and 54.04.180.
