AN ACT Relating to harbor areas in code cities on islands; and amending RCW 79.92.110.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

        Sec. 1.  Section 79, chapter 21, Laws of 1982 1st ex. sess. as last amended by section 25, chapter 221, Laws of 1984 and RCW 79.92.110 are each amended to read as follows:

          (1) Where any leased harbor area or tideland is situated within the limits of a town, whether or not the harbor area or tideland lies within a port district, the rents from such leases shall be paid by the state treasurer to the municipal authorities of the town to be expended for water-related improvements.

           (2) When any property leased for a city operated marina over beds of navigable waters or tidelands is situated within the limits of a code city that is both located on an island and not included in a port district, the rents from such leases shall be paid by the state treasurer to the municipal authorities of the city to be expended for water-related improvements.

          (3) The state treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to make payments to the respective towns on the first days of July and January of each year, of all moneys payable under the terms of this section.
