AN ACT Relating to guide dogs and service dogs; and adding a new section to chapter 70.84 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added tochapter 70.84 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) Persons who prepare dogs for guide dog or service dog training may take the dogs, for purpose of their pretraining as guide dogs or service dogs, to any of the places specified in RCW 70.84.010, and shall not be required to pay an extra charge for having the dogs accompany them.  The dogs shall be at least six months old and shall wear a coat to identify them as dogs involved in guide dog or service dog pretraining.

          (2) Such persons shall be liable for any damage done by the dogs to the premises or facilities specified in RCW 70.84.010.
