AN ACT Relating to telephone exchanges; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     On or before December 31, 1988, the commission shall cause the Telephone Utilities Company of Washington to transfer its interest and franchise in the area described in this section to General Telephone and Electric Northwest.  The transfer shall involve the payment of fair and reasonable compensation to the Telephone Utilities Company of Washington by General Telephone and Electric Northwest and shall be accomplished under such terms and conditions as the commission shall prescribe by order or rule.

          The territory to be transferred is as follows:

All of Section 19, Township 25 North, Range 7, east of the Willamette Meridian in King county, Washington EXCEPT the east 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of the southeast 1/4.

That portion of Section 18, Township 25 North, Range 7, east of the Willamette Meridian in King county, Washington lying west of the northeast Ames Lake Carnation Road AND including the south 1/2 of the south 1/2 of said Section 18 lying easterly of the northeast Ames Lake Carnation Road.
