AN ACT Relating to community action agencies; and making an appropriation.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     There is appropriated nine hundred eighty thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the biennium ending June 30, 1989, from the general fund to the department of community development for operating and necessary administrative expenses of programs operated by local community action agencies that receive a portion of their funding from the federal community services block grant program.  This appropriation shall supplement federal community services block grant funding.  These moneys are intended to serve low-income families with children.  The department of community development shall not expend more than five percent of this appropriation for its administrative overhead costs in implementing this appropriation.
