AN ACT Relating to mobile home support systems; and adding a new section to chapter 43.22 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.22 RCW to read as follows:

          Support systems and stabilizing devices for a mobile home are required only under the following circumstances:

          (1) When more than one-fourth of the area of the unit is more than three feet above ground level, as measured from the bottom of the frame member; or

          (2) In areas experiencing extreme wind conditions as established by the department of labor and industries.

          The support system and stabilizing devices for any mobile home must be designed and installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
