AN ACT Relating to combining existing food and game fish and wildlife licenses; adding a new section to chapter 77.32 RCW; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 77.32 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) The licenses for Hood Canal shrimp under RCW 75.25.015, razor clams under RCW 75.25.020, and personal use under RCW 75.25.090, and those licenses required under RCW 77.32.101, 77.32.161, and 77.32.191 shall all be offered and contained on one form.  Each individual license of the form shall be effective only upon payment of the appropriate fee and validation by the department.  The form shall be prepared in such a manner as to provide space for any necessary stamps and for identification of punchcard numbers as may be required.

          (2) The department of wildlife shall be solely responsible for the sale and accounting for punchcards required under chapter 75.25 RCW and RCW 77.32.360(1).

          (3) The department of wildlife shall be solely responsible for the sale and accounting of the licenses identified in subsection (1) of this section.

          License fees and punchcard fees collected by the department for the sale of licenses under subsection (1) of this section and punchcards under subsection (2) of this section shall be remitted monthly to the state treasurer for deposit into the appropriate account of the state general fund.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.     By December 15, 1989, the departments of fisheries and wildlife shall present to the appropriate standing committees of the house of representatives and the senate a plan for combining the punchcards required for steelhead, salmon, and sturgeon into one punchcard.
