AN ACT Relating to historical records; and making an appropriation.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     The sum of forty-one thousand five hundred dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1989, from the general fund to the state archivist to carry out some of the duties under RCW 40.10.020 to provide for the protection and preservation of the essential and historical records of the small towns of the state of Washington if an equal sum of money is obtained from public or private grants or other sources during the 1987-89 biennium.
