AN ACT Relating to the application of pesticides; and adding a new section to chapter 17.22 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 17.22 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) All agreements which provide for a certified applicator to apply a pesticide shall be in writing.

          (2) There shall be a three-day waiting period between the date of the agreement and the date of application of any pesticide.

          (3) The agreement shall contain information on the type and amount of pesticide to be used, and that information on the possible health effects of the pesticide is available from the department of ecology's hazardous substance information and education office by letter or by toll-free telephone line.
