AN ACT Relating to community property; and adding a new section to chapter 26.16 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 26.16 RCW to read as follows:

          Either spouse may request from any source, information regarding any community property in the name of the other spouse of which the source has knowledge.  Such request shall be notarized.  The recipient of such a request shall respond fully within a reasonable time and upon reasonable terms.
