AN ACT Relating to financing the services provided by county elected officials; adding a new section to chapter 36.21 RCW; adding a new section to chapter 36.22 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 36.29 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 36.21 RCW to read as follows:

          The services directly provided by the county assessor for a local government shall be reimbursed by the local government. This reimbursement, in combination with the reimbursements provided for in sections 2 and 3 of this act, shall not exceed five percent of a local government's annual budget or expenditures in any year.   As used in this section, the term "local government" shall mean a city, town, special district, municipal corporation, or quasi-municipal corporation.

          The services directly provided by the county auditor for a local government shall be reimbursed by the local government. This reimbursement, in combination with the reimbursements provided for in sections 1 and 3 of this act, shall not exceed five percent of a local government's annual budget or expenditures in any year.   As used in this section, the term "local government" shall mean a city, town, special district, municipal corporation, or quasi-municipal corporation.

          The services directly provided by the county treasurer for a local government shall be reimbursed by the local government. This reimbursement, in combination with the reimbursements provided for in sections 1 and 2 of this act, shall not exceed five percent of a local government's annual budget or expenditures in any year.   As used in this section, the term "local government" shall mean a city, town, special district, municipal corporation, or quasi-municipal corporation.
