AN ACT Relating to public contracts; and adding a new section to chapter 43.19 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.19 RCW to read as follows:

          State agencies shall not contract to rent, lease, or purchase facilities to be built by a private party for occupation by a state agency unless the agreement also requires the contractor and/or developer to comply with the prevailing wage provisions of chapter 39.12 RCW.
