WHEREAS, Vehicle traffic between Washington and Oregon has increased greatly in recent years and continues to increase; and

          WHEREAS, Construction of the Interstate 205 bridge across the Columbia River has helped the flow of traffic, while the continued growth of Clark County has added to the need for another bridge;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring, That the Legislative Transportation Committee undertake a study of the need for an interstate bridge, located east of the existing Interstate 205 bridge, across the Columbia River to Oregon; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the area to be studied is situated between the Interstate 205 bridge on the west, and the Clark/Skamania County line on the east; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the suggested specific location would be a link between Washington State Highway 14 at Camas, Washington, and United States Highway 30 at Troutdale, Oregon.
