BACKGROUND:

 

The state's Election Code prescribes the forms that are to be used by candidates in filing as candidates for elective, public office.  The forms prescribed by law for candidates for the office of precinct committee officer are patterned after those prescribed for other offices.

 

SUMMARY:

 

A new, shorter form is prescribed by the Election Code for candidates wishing to file declarations of candidacy for the office of precinct committee officer.
