BACKGROUND:

 

The state's Pesticide Application Act requires all persons licensed as pesticide applicators, all persons who apply pesticides to more than one acre of agricultural land in a calendar year, and public entities engaged in the roadside spraying of pesticides to keep certain records regarding the use of those pesticides.  An owner or operator of a dairy farm applying pesticides to the farm is exempted from this requirement.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The exemption from recordkeeping requirements regarding pesticide applications which is currently provided by the Pesticide Application Act to a dairy farm owner or operator is repealed.
