AS REPORTED BY COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY FEBRUARY 1, 1990

BACKGROUND:

The Parenting Act and other chapters in the law contain several cross references to provisions in the existing child support schedule.  If the Legislature enacts the proposed bill, HB 2888, which repeals the current chapter on the child support schedule, then the existing references to the current child support schedule will be incorrect.

SUMMARY:

The Parenting Act and other provisions in the law that contain cross references to sections of the existing child support schedule are amended so that the Code Reviser can properly cross reference sections in the new child support schedule in HB 2888 if the Legislature adopts the new child support schedule in HB 2888.
