BACKGROUND:

Persons failing to timely renew a master license must pay a delinquency fee.  The fee is 50 percent of a base comprised of the renewal fee less corporate licensing taxes, corporation annual report fee, and any interest fees or penalties charged for late taxes or corporate renewals.

Licensees with high renewal fees pay substantial delinquency fees.

SUMMARY:

A maximum delinquency fee of $150 for late renewal of a master license is established.  The fee shall be $150, or 50 percent of a base comprised of the renewal fee less corporate licensing taxes, corporation annual report fee, and any interest fees or penalties charged for late taxes or corporate renewals, whichever is less.
