BACKGROUND:
Services for juvenile offenders are organized differently in different states. The last time the Legislature considered the organizational location of services to juvenile offenders in Washington state was January, 1983.
SUMMARY:
The Office of Financial Management will study juvenile rehabilitation issues and report its findings to the Legislature by December 1, 1990. The Office of Financial Management will convene an advisory committee of persons knowledgeable in juvenile justice issues. The legislation contains a null and void clause if it is not specifically referenced in the supplemental operating appropriations bill passed during the 1990 legislative session.
