BACKGROUND:
The Washington Law Revision Commission was created in 1982. The Law Revision Commission consists of 13 members representing the Legislature, the law schools, lawyers admitted to practice in Washington State, and nonlawyers. Members provide scholarly investigation of the law, recommend elimination of antiquated, inequitable, and defective provisions in the law, and encourage clarification and simplification of the law.
Statutes concerning the Law Revision Commission do not presently provide for reimbursement of commission members' travel expenses.
SUMMARY:
Members of the Law Revision Commission will be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary travel expenses. Commission members who are not legislators will also be reimbursed for routine administrative expenses and office supplies.
