BACKGROUND:

 

The Washington State Liquor Control Board by administrative rule currently requires notice of liquor license applications and license modifications to be posted at the business location.  The board does not post reconsiderations of applications it has denied nor applications for renewal of licenses.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Notices of applications for liquor licenses are required by statute to be posted conspicuously at the business location.  In addition, notice of application reconsiderations must also be posted where public opposition was the grounds for the board's initial denial.
