BACKGROUND:

 

The Department of Fisheries introduced a new plan for the enhancement of recreational fishing in October of 1989.

 

The plan does not include a specific timetable for reporting on the progress and needs of the program.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The director shall provide a progress report on July 1 of each year on the programs that are implemented.  On November 1 of each year, the director shall report on a number of specifics that were omitted from the original plan related to:  accountability, costs, ways of measuring progress, and time lines for completion of plan goals.
