BACKGROUND:

The 1988 Legislature authorized reduced rental rates for amateur radio operators for their repeater stations on state lands.  In addition, the Legislature appropriated funds to cover the income loss to the trusts for the reduced rental fees.

SUMMARY:

Local and state government public safety agencies are included in the program for reduced repeater station rentals.
