BACKGROUND:

Many mobile homeowners who rent spaces in mobile home parks have been subjected to a continuing escalation of rents.  The imposition of controls on rent has been declared to be of statewide significance and, with few exceptions, is preempted by the state.

SUMMARY:

Cities and counties are allowed to regulate the amount of rent to be charged in mobile home parks.
