BACKGROUND:
Article 15 of the Washington State Constitution assigns the locating of harbor lines to the Harbor Line Commission. The Board of Natural Resources serves as the Harbor Line Commission. The Harbor Line Commission is authorized to establish, relocate or re-establish harbor lines by RCW 79.92.030.
SUMMARY:
The Harbor Line Commission is given authority to establish harbor lines in Oakland Bay in front of the City of Shelton in Mason County and in Gig Harbor in Pierce County. Harbor lines shall be set within one mile of the city limits.
