BACKGROUND:
SSB 5648, enacted last session, authorized the creation of a Federation of Washington Ports and established a temporary task force on cooperation among ports and local associate development organizations. The task force has been meeting regularly, but has found the deadline for recommendations and report contained in the act difficult to meet.
SUMMARY:
The Port Cooperation Task Force is required to submit a preliminary report by January 1, 1990, and a final report by January 1, 1991. The task force will expire on March 1, 1991.
