BACKGROUND:

 

An application for a marriage license must contain the following information about the applicant:  name, address, age, birthplace, residence during the past six months, whether single, widowed, or divorced, and whether under the control of a guardian.  In addition, each county may require additional information deemed necessary.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Marriage license applicants are required to include their social security numbers on license applications.
